Overview

Built for the job

Our lowbed trailers keep the centre of gravity low and the load secure. A drop-deck design, reinforced gooseneck and hydraulic or mechanical ramps allow tracked and wheeled machinery to be loaded safely and moved legally under height restrictions.

Lowbed trailers move the heaviest and tallest loads on the road, so every design starts with the load itself — its weight, its footprint and how it will be loaded. A dropped deck keeps the load low enough to clear bridges and overhead lines, while the gooseneck and main beams are sized to carry concentrated track and outrigger loads without deflection.

Tracked machinery is driven on over rear ramps, which can be mechanical spring-assisted or hydraulically operated. For very long or tall equipment, a detachable gooseneck allows front loading: the deck is lowered to the ground and the machine is driven straight on.

Axle count is selected to spread the load within legal axle limits. Configurations range from compact 3-axle units for mid-sized excavators to 8-axle trailers with extendable decks for cranes, transformers and plant modules.

Construction & Build Quality

How it is built

  1. 01
    Chassis & frame

Deep-section high-tensile main beams with a reinforced gooseneck transition, welded with full penetration.

  2. 02
    Running gear

Heavy-duty bogie or rocker-beam suspension with low-profile tyres to keep deck height down.

  3. 03
    Braking & electrical

Dual-line air brakes on every axle, ABS optional, LED lighting and wide-load marker lamps.

  4. 04
    Loading equipment

Spring-assisted or hydraulic ramps, wheel wells and heavy lashing rings rated to the load.

  5. 05
    Surface protection

Shot blasting and an industrial paint system, with a hardwood or steel deck to suit tracked equipment.

Features & Options

Standard features & options

Questions

Frequently asked

01 How do I choose the number of axles?
The axle count is set by the heaviest load you will carry and the legal axle limits on your routes. Share the weight and dimensions of your machines and we will recommend the right configuration.
02 Fixed neck or detachable gooseneck?
A fixed neck is simpler and lower cost for machines that can be driven up rear ramps. A detachable gooseneck is better for very long, low-clearance or non-driveable loads that must be loaded from the front.
03 Can the deck be widened for oversize loads?
Yes. Pull-out widening extensions can be fitted along the deck edges to support wider equipment, while keeping the travel width legal when the trailer is empty.
