Overview

Built for the job

Engineered for the harshest environments in the region, our desert trailers combine reinforced chassis members, wide-section flotation tyres and sealed components that resist sand ingress and extreme heat — keeping oilfield and remote-site operations moving.

Soft sand, extreme heat and long distances between workshops place demands on a trailer that highway designs are not built for. Our desert trailers start with a reinforced chassis, using extra cross-members and gusset plates at high-stress joints so the frame resists the twisting loads that come with uneven ground.

Wide-section flotation tyres spread the load and keep the trailer moving on soft sand, and the suspension is tuned for off-road articulation rather than smooth highways. Ground clearance is increased to pass over dunes, ridges and site debris.

Because breakdowns in remote locations are costly, components are specified for reliability: sealed hubs and bearings resist sand ingress, wiring is protected in conduit, and the coating system is chosen to withstand strong UV and surface temperatures well above 60 °C.

Questions

Frequently asked

01 Can a desert trailer also run on highways?
Yes. They are road-legal and can be driven to site on paved roads, although wide sand tyres have more rolling resistance than standard highway tyres.
02 How do you prevent sand damage to bearings and brakes?
We use sealed hubs and bearings, protected brake components and sealed electrical connectors, and route air and electrical lines away from the main sand-spray zones.
03 Can you build for a specific rig or load?
Yes. Most desert trailers are built around a defined load — a pipe size, generator or rig module — with lashing points and stanchions positioned to suit.
